If you find yourself in Chinatown looking to navigate to one of the premier tattoo shops in New York City, First Class Tattoo is only a short walk away! Depending on your exact starting point, this walk is a simple 10 to 15 minute adventure for an experience that will last a lifetime! The shortest route is about ½ mile long that starts on Elizabeth Street, where you can navigate north a few blocks to reach Hester Street. Head east on Hester Street for approximately six blocks until you reach Orchard Street; you’ll pass the Hester Street playground on your left. Once you reach Orchard Street, turn right and head south one block to reach Canal Street. A simple left turn back east and First Class Tattoo will be waiting for you across the street!
If you find yourself at the southern end of Chinatown, you can also make the short walk starting on Bayard Street. Head east towards Bowery, turn left to head south briefly before turning left to head eastwards on Division Street. Stay on Division Street until you reach the intersection with Allen Street. Here, you can turn left, navigate north a block, and turn right onto Canal Street. From there, First Class Tattoo awaits shortly just one block ahead.

The Lower East Side is an ideal location for quickly navigating to First Class Tattoo! Depending on your starting location, you’re looking at a 10 minute, ½ mile walk. If you’re starting on or near Grand Street, navigate west on Grand for about three blocks before turning left onto Ludlow Street. Head south for three blocks before taking a right onto Canal Street where First Class Tattoo will be waiting for you across the street.
For those starting on or near Henry Street, which is further south than the previously mentioned Grand Street, you can navigate westwards until you reach Rutgers Street. A quick right here, walking north on Rutgers, will put you in Straus Square. From here, it’s easy to find Canal Street where you can walk west for two blocks and find First Class Tattoo on your left shortly after the intersection of Ludlow Street, Division Street, and Canal Street.

Navigating from Tribeca to First Class Tattoo presents a few different options to choose from. If you want to take a subway, you can utilize the stations in Tribeca including the Canal Street or Franklin Street station to navigate to the F line where you take the short ride to East Broadway station. Walking east out of the station down Canal Street will quickly get you to First Class Tattoo located on the left just after Division Street but before Orchard Street.
On foot, navigating from Tribeca to First Class Tattoo is a little over a mile and takes about 23 minutes to complete. The easiest way to accomplish this is to first navigate onto Worth Street. Head east for a while until you reach Chatham Square. Navigate north up Chatham Square and exit right to Division Street. Continue east on Division Street until you reach the intersection with Orchard Street. One block up Orchard Street, take a right onto Canal Street, and First Class Tattoo is one of the first shops located on your right.

From the Financial District to First Class Tattoo, many people elect to use the subways. Navigating to either the Fulton Street station or the Broad Street station to hop on the J of the Z line is optimal. It only takes a few stations to reach the Delancey Street, Essex Street station. From there, navigating south for four blocks down Essex Street will put Seward Park on your left. Once you reach Canal Street, take a right and walk down about a block and ½ to reach First Class Tattoo on your left.
If you’re up for a walk, the trek from the Financial District to First Class Tattoo is about one mile and should take 25 to 30 minutes to complete. Start on Pearl Street, this is where most of the journey occurs. Head northeast on Pearl Street, and you’ll pass the Pearl Street playground. Continue on Pearl Street until you reach the intersection of Pearl and St James Place, where the James Madison Plaza is located. Continue northeast on St James Place until you reach Kimlau Square. From Kimlau Square, turn right onto East Broadway where you’ll head east until the intersection between East Broadway and Pike Street. Turn left and head north on Pike for two blocks, which will put you on Canal Street. Take a right on Canal and progress down less than two blocks to arrive at First Class Tattoo on your right.

To navigate to First Class Tattoo from Downtown Brooklyn, the subway is definitely the best bet. Getting on the F line makes for an extremely easy trip; stations that serve the F line in the Downtown Brooklyn area include Jay Street, Bergen Street, and Carroll Street. A short ride to East Broadway station will put you virtually at the shop. Cross the street to head west on Canal Street for slightly less than two blocks where you’ll run into First Class Tattoo on your left just before Orchard Street.
If you’re looking for a nice walk to the tattoo shop from Downtown Brooklyn, the walk will take about 40 minutes and cover about two miles. Hop on the Manhattan Bridge and cross the East River. Hop off the bridge on the other side of the river at Bowery. Head south briefly to reach Division Street, turn left, and head east for a while until you reach the intersection of Division and Orchard. Turn left up Orchard for a block, take a right on Canal, and you’ll arrive at First Class Tattoo located on your right.
